When people think about owning a pet business, they often imagine selling products. But Pet Wants franchise owners have the opportunity to do something even more meaningful: educate fellow pet parents and become a trusted resource for their communities.

Recently, Pet Wants Cincinnati West franchise owners Joe and Laurie Sanfillipo were [featured on FOX19](https://www.fox19.com/video/2026/06/13/owners-pet-wants-discuss-which-foods-could-harm-your-pet/), sharing expert insights on a topic every pet parent should understand: which common foods can actually be harmful to our four-legged family members. From everyday kitchen staples to surprising treats that can pose serious health risks, the segment highlights the value of having knowledgeable pet professionals nearby.

It's a reminder that Pet Wants owners aren't just running stores—they're building relationships, offering guidance, and helping pets live healthier, happier lives through better nutrition and education.
