At a time when many businesses are suffering or struggling to adapt to a world impacted by COVID-19, Pet Wants franchisees are seeing the demand for their personal delivery service boom. In Lexington, Kentucky, that increase in demand was an opportunity for growth.
While local owner Melissa Mautz – the first Pet Wants franchisee outside of Cincinnati – is still true to her storefront at 321 South Ashland Avenue in the Chevy Chase neighborhood of Lexington, she announced this month that she’s expanding her delivery service well beyond her previous delivery territory to include Frankfort, Georgetown, Winchester, Versailles, Harrodsburg, Paris, Mt. Sterling and the surrounding areas.
“With COVID-19 and the increased interest in Pet Wants’ products, we saw the demand for our products stretch well beyond our previous service areas. We are looking forward to introducing new people – and pets – to Pet Wants and helping them get our fresh, nutritious products,” Mautz said.
Mautz launched her business in 2014 and was recognized with the President’s Award of Excellence in 2019 for her commitment to growing her business while supporting the Pet Wants brand and her fellow business owners across the country.
