The Suarez Family Brings Pet Wants to Lake Nona

The Suarez family – Esther, Javier Sr., Javier Jr. and Bianca – are pleased to announce the launch of their new local pet food and supplies company, Pet Wants Lake Nona.

Suarez FamilyPet Wants Lake Nona offers multiple blends of dog and cat food formulas as well as healing salve, calming balm, anti-itch spray, paw wax and more. Pet Wants Lake Nona is a mobile business that offers free, personal delivery to Lake Nona, Hunters Creek, Meadow Woods, Wyndham Lakes, Avalon Park, Waterford Lakes and the surrounding areas.

“We found Pet Wants in our own search to provide healthier food for our own pets. As we learned about the company, we saw how much our beloved pets would benefit from the nutrition, but we also realized this was an opportunity for us to work together, be a bigger part of our community and make a difference for pets and families right here in East Orlando,” Javier Jr. said.

The business is being led by mother/son team Esther and Javier Jr. Esther has been working for the Orange County Public Schools for more than 10 years and is active with “The SATO Project” animal rescue group, which helps rehabilitate and rehome stray animals who were left without homes after Hurricane Maria. Javier Jr. is a Marine Corps veteran who was awarded both the Purple Heart and the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal. He is currently also taking classes at Valencia College. Javier Sr. is helping to launch the business and guide his family with his management experience and their daughter Bianca, who is also a Marine, will be supporting the business when she’s home.

The Suarez family has called East Orlando home since 1998 and they have three pets – a German Shepherd puppy named Dorian, a Lynx Point Siamese named Ziggy and a Yellow Nape Amazon bird named Maica. The family had considered opening a business throughout the years, but nothing spoke to them quite like Pet Wants.

“We’d looked at a variety of business opportunities over the years, but nothing was quite right. Pet Wants is different. It’s an honest company that sells honest, high-quality products. There are no gimmicks. Pet Wants is fresh, healthy and personally delivered to your door by friendly, knowledgeable, local people who care about pets. We’re looking forward to serving the community and helping people find the right products for their individual pets,” Javier Sr. said.
