Dog Mom Brings Pet Wants to Lake County, Ohio

We’d like to send congratulations to local dog mom Stephanie Barber is pleased to announce the launch of her new pet food and supplies company – Pet Wants Lake County.

Stephanie BarberPet Wants Lake County has multiple blends of dog and cat food formulas as well as healing salve, calming balm, anti-itch spray, paw wax and more. Pet Wants Lake County is a mobile business that offers free, personal delivery to Willoughby, Eastlake, Willowick, Mentor, Painesville, Fairport Harbor and the surrounding area.

“I opened Pet Wants to help make a difference in the pet community. I think people want to provide their pets with high-quality and nutritious food, but it’s hard to read complicated labels and understand what’s in mass-produced pet foods. I’m excited have the opportunity to use Pet Wants to help people learn about pet food and find the products that are right for their individual pets,” Barber said. “I have a huge passion for pets and my goal is to give every pet a way to life a longer, healthier life. Pet Wants helps me work toward that goal.”

Barber lives in Eastlake, OH with her two dogs – 4-year-old Rocko and 3-year-old Scrappy. She graduated from a performing arts school in Gary, Indiana, and plays the violin. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics, specializing in Cyber Security with a minor in business, from Indiana University in 2016 and moved the Cleveland area after graduation to work as an IT Systems Engineer for an insurance company. Barber was looking for ways to pursue her passion for business and get more involved in the pet community when she found Pet Wants. When her own dogs made their preference for Pet Wants clear, she knew she was making the right decision.

“I found Pet Wants because I was looking for a better food for my own two dogs – I was spending a lot of money on food, but I wasn’t even sure what I was getting. After I ordered Pet Wants, I tried to transition by dogs by combining the food, but Scrappy started just picking out the Pet Wants food and leaving the rest. Now that they eat Pet Wants, they come running when it’s time to eat. My dogs love Pet Wants and I know other pets and pet families in this community will too,” Barber said.
